The enchanting peninsula
La Victòria in Alcudia
- a place of longing
A trip by minibus takes us north to Alcanada. We walk past a golf course and natural pebble beaches. The path then leads us further along the cliffs. The narrow coastal path up to the forest area of Alcúdia offers us wonderful views of the bay of Alcúdia and the neighboring island of Menorca. We continue through a pine forest along forest paths and trails in a gorge uphill to the "Coll de na Benet".
This is a lovely spot for our local outdoor picnic. Then we head downhill. We climb along a stony, old goat-hunting path in the maquis forest past the La Victòria hostel to the small bathing bay of S'Illot. The return journey is by minibus to Port de Sóller.
