The Tramuntana Mountains
Most of our hikes lead you into the imposing Tramuntana mountains, the Serra de Tramuntana, which extends over 90 km in length over the entire northwest coast of Mallorca. The sparsely populated mountain range, largely spared from mass tourism, owes its name to the fresh north wind of the same name. The highest point in the mountains is the Puig Mayor with 1445 m.
In 2011, UNESCO declared the Serra de Tramuntana a World Heritage Site. What makes us proud and grateful.
Port de Sóller
In the center of the Serra de Tramuntana is the small town of Sóller with around 13,000 inhabitants. This area is called the "Golden Valley" because of the lemon, orange and olive trees grown here. A well-known highlight is the “Red Lightning” or “Orange Express” popularly known train, which runs from Palma to Sóller. The nostalgic tram then continues a short distance to Port de Sóller and ends right in front of our hiking shop in the port of Port de Sóller.
Our hiking shop is the meeting point for all hikes. It starts here and this is where you arrive again.
