We take the minibus briefly to the forest area of Fornalutx, which lies above the charming mountain village. This is followed by an easy ascent over a wide forest path through mixed forest to the Sa Comuna viewpoint. Here we have a wonderful panoramic view over the valley of Sóller, the Mediterranean Sea and the Tramuntana mountains. Then it goes downhill over an old cobblestone path and through private olive groves to the idyllic Finca Es Mas.

 

It is picturesquely in the middle of a private orange plantation. On this finca we enjoy a local meal with one or two red wine glasses outside on the terrace, in the Mallorcan evening mood. Satisfied, we continue our tour through the enchanting mountain village of Fornalutx. Out of Fornalutx we hike mainly downhill through the settlement of Binibassí. Lemon plantations show us the way to the city of Sóller. From here you can take the nostalgic tram back to the port in Port de Sóller.
