The highest mountain on the island, the Puig Major 1445 m, is the destination with our Minibus. It starts at the foot of the mountain and our hiking trail leads us along above the Cúber reservoir. Here we hike exclusively over a private property through the rocky Tramuntana mountains to an altitude of 930 m, past the mountain top of L´Ofre 1091 m and over the finca of the same name located in a high valley. Then a wonderful serpentine descent begins over an old cobblestone path into the gigantic gorge of Biniaraix.

Here we have come up with something special. We grill! There is a local barbecue at a small, rustic mountain hut in the middle of the rustic olive grove. After this beautiful midday, we continue to hike downhill past old terraced plantations to the small mountain village of Biniaraix. In the place we get a nice insight into the peace and serenity of the villages of Mallorca. From here we hike back to Sóller. Our return trip takes the nostalgic tram to the port of Port de Sóller.
