After a short ride with the minibus through the Tramuntana mountains, we reach the famous pilgrimage site, the Lluc monastery. We start downhill on a cobblestone pilgrimage path that lies in the holm oak forest and leads us to the monastery complex. Here we have enough time to visit the famous monastery. Then it goes on past the mountain hut Son Amer, over wide cart paths and old wood charcoal paths. We hike through dense mixed forest with beautiful views of the highest mountains on the island. On the way we enjoy a local picnic in the pine forest. The way back takes us past gigantic karst rock formations and abandoned olive groves before we reach the Lluc monastery again. We will return to Port de Sóller by minibus.
