Enjoyment of art on stony traces of the past

We take the minibus to the starting point, which is between Deià and Valldemossa. The hike begins on a private secret path, past a rock garden. We continue on an old coastal guard path that offers us unique views of the small port of Port de Valldemossa and the bizarre cliffs. We pass the last inhabited hermitage in Mallorca and then a steep ascent through the holm oak forest follows. This area is in closed private ownership and leads us exclusively into the imposing Teix Mountains up to the Talaia Vella peak (840 m). We are here on the first panorama trail in the world. The famous bridle path of Archduke Ludwig Salvator von Habsburg Austria. Here we experience the wonderful panoramas of the bay of Palma and the north coast and we enjoy our local picnic outdoors. Downhill it now goes over scree paths and old cart paths through mixed forest to the romantic mountain village of Valldemossa. A short tour of the town and a drink break round off this beautiful day. Then we take the minibus back to Port de Sóller.
