The mysterious ascent of the second highest Summit of the island - The Puig Massanella
Start with the minibus ride to Son Massip. We start with a steep ascent through the holm oak forest on a reconstructed snow collector path. The serpentine path offers us wonderful views of the valley of Lluc and Cape Formentor. This is followed by a stony ascent, past snow house ruins, over a scree path and a rock passage up to the mountain peak (1367m). An incredible panorama picture over the entire island is offered to us here. We enjoy a local picnic outdoors in a great place. This is followed by a steep and long descent over an old donkey path through a beautiful mixed forest. The path leads us over a wide forest path past the private Finca Comafreda. We continue downwards on a pilgrim path to the holy monastery of Lluc. Here we have a nice drink break before we start the return trip to the port in Port de Sóller.
